Disappointing visit for our family
Archaeological Museum of Corfu的点评
点评：This was a disappointing experience . The entrance fee is 10 euros which we happily paid but had we known how limited the displays are and the attitude of security staff we would not have visited this museum.
As soon as we entered a security guard barked rudely at me that I was not allowed to drink from my small bottle of coke . This was of course acceptable but her manner was aggressive and hostile. We continued to the first ground floor display area and our little grand-daughter was excited to see some artifacts. Before we even reached a display case the same security person shouted 'Don't touch the glass!' (Nobody was even near the glass at the time). Our 4 year old grand-daughter started to cry and wanted to leave.
We then calmed her down but were being followed around by the same person as if we were about to damage or steal an object.
When we visited the upper floor the outside area was cordoned off so we were unable to look at the large pots on display outside and were still being glared at wherever we went!
There are no activities for children whatsoever. It would cost little effort or money to provide some educational sheets about Ancient Greek history or a 'treasure trail' for children to spot certain objects and complete a simple sheet. Pencils or crayons cost little but would keep small kids amused rather than being scared by aggressive security staff.
On the plus side there were helpful translations in English of Greek descriptions of artefacts.

根本没有任何适合儿童的活动。提供一些关于古希腊历史的教育资料，或者安排“寻宝之旅”，让孩子们找到特定的物品并完成一张简单的表格，几乎不需要花费任何精力和金钱。铅笔或蜡笔虽然价格不高，但能让小孩子玩得开心，而不是被咄咄逼人的保安吓到。
值得庆幸的是，博物馆提供了希腊文物描述的英语翻译，非常实用。
我们理解博物馆的资金有限，但只要稍加改进，这座博物馆就能对家庭游客更具吸引力。
