Very nice cafe, pity about the old school,cafeteria-style queuing system!

点评：Have been visiting the garden centre and cafe for several years now, the cafe is great for lunch, very good fresh food,served hot where appropriate and brought to your table quite quickly and by friendly staff. The big let down is the queuing system. Unless you get there early,there is usually a lengthy line of people patiently waiting for counter service. Some of the these folks are often elderly and with mobility issues. There is only one person who takes your order for food, while 4-5 others wait to take your money and serve hot drinks. On my visit today , I waited,along with approx' 20 others while an elderly gentleman with hearing issues placed his order. This took at least 15-20 mins. Meanwhile, all those poor souls behind waited,even though some only wanted a hot drink and piece of cake. All the while, the other 4-5 staff stand by, idly waiting. Firstly, one of those staff members having seen the problem, should immediately step in & assist with the food orders to free up the queue. Does it take 4 people to make coffee or tea? Secondly, since there are sufficient staff to bring food to your table (and here's a great idea) why can't those same friendly staff members take your order at the table? thereby doing away with this senseless and inefficient system of queuing. The cafe is also a bit noisy inside however,there's a lovely outside patio,overlooking the gardens and even a covered part where you can sit on rainy days. I shall keep on coming as the food is very good and reasonable priced and just hope that one day, someone bright enough sees fit to do away with the senseless system of queuing!
