点评：We at Kyooma Gorilla Safaris were thrilled to explore its unique beauty. This park offers an incredible mix of wildlife, birdwatching, and cultural experiences, all while maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. Unlike more crowded destinations, Semuliki gives visitors a chance to connect with nature in a truly wild setting.
With over 400 bird species, including rare Central African specialties, this park is a paradise for bird lovers. Our guides were excited to spot the Lyre-tailed Honeyguide and African Piculet. The dense rainforest and riverbanks provide perfect habitats for these beautiful birds
The Sempaya Hot Springs were another unforgettable experience. Watching water bubble up from the ground at boiling temperatures was fascinating, and we even tried cooking eggs in the steam,just like the locals do! The male and female springs each have their own unique features, and learning about their cultural significance added depth to our visit.
Wildlife encounters in Semuliki were just as exciting. We spotted several monkey species. The jungle trails are lush and nice for a true escape into nature. What made the experience even more special was meeting the Batwa pygmies, who shared their traditions, dances, and stories with us.
A few things to keep in mind: the roads to Semuliki can be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is essential. The lowland rainforest climate is hot and humid, so lightweight, breathable clothing is a must. Accommodations are simple but comfortable, with a few lodges and campsites available nearby.
