Capel Manor Gardens的点评
点评：There were few visitors when we went, which was surprising for a dry Bank Holiday.
I had taken the website at face-value and planned to have the advertised hot meal in the cafe. The "meals" on offer were a dried-out looking pasta dish or a bought-in pie, each at £8.50. The chips didn't look fresh or crispy, either. I was glad I didn't have children with me.
More seriously, since Capel Manor has a reputation for its horticultural training and an historic Georgian house, is its slightly run-down state. For example, the window frames of the house are in need of repair and paint. We found infestations of spider mite (and webs!) in some of the greenhouses. Many of the interesting trees and plants are unlabelled, which seems a shame.
Being child-free on this occasion, we didn't explore the maze (a holly hedge) or the mini-zoo.
