The Marina is unrecognizable, in the WORST of ways

点评：This place is NOT what it used to be. To start, I grew up coming here every summer since I was 2 years old, and the people here were so welcoming, accommodating, and downright genuine. To clarify, this review is solely about the June Lake Marina, and not the town itself Those who knew the folks who use to run this marina, like John, Mikki and Dave, knew exactly the kind hospitality they gave that place. Now, at 26, it's hard to see how the people who run it now have changed this place for the worse. The Opener in 2023, they didn't open unlike plenty of other places up here did after that harsh winter (probably out of sheer laziness), which not only hurts the travelers/visitors, but the locals and their businesses as well. They're one of the only lakes on the loop to start charging a launch fee for absolutely no reason, when the previous owners never did and other marinas around the loop keep it free to the public. And as of this fall of 2024, while other lakes have closed they're marinas but left their ramps open for fishermen to launch and enjoy, June Lake, of course, has closed off and blocked the whole marina from the public so that people CANNOT launch, even though the weather has been in the low 70s for the majority of this fall and the lakes are stocked and teeming with plenty of fish. It's sad that the spirit and soul of the place is gone. What once felt like going on vacation to visit friends and, to an legitimate extent, family at that point, this marina and it's owners now have been replaced with greedy and lazy people, who obviously care more about themselves, rather than the people they're meant to service AND their fellow townsfolk/businesses. I wish one day in the future, my kids and wife could experience the same fun and familial relationships I once had here, but with the current people running this place, I fear that may never happened.
