点评：There are lots of pretty places on the Costa Del Sol but the old historic part of the town of Estapona has got to be in the top 5 or 10. Not a huge area but a lovely place to stroll around in the day time and evening. Please please find Bar Genal - 6 tapas (1 euro each!), 2 coffees and 2 cokes for 15 euros. The barmen seem quite dour but when i tried a bit of Spanish, through google translate, their demeanour completely changed. The tapas were all different and not just a piece of meat or cheese on top of a slice of bread - incredibly tasty and cheap, cheap, cheap! The seafront is like most of this coastline, tree-lined, great for walking and cycling, but just past the harbour is a more protected beach (playa del christo) - as Costa Del Sol can be pretty windy so having this 'secluded' beach is helpful. Visit the Orchid place - even though in Sept, when we went, most of the flowers had been and gone - for 3 euros on a baking hot day it was a nice escape for a hour to see the plants and waterfall. Also walk just up the same road from the orchid place and there are some huge paintings (very cool and clever) on the buildings (all within a 5 min stroll up to the next roundabout). There are about 70 of these paintings on the sides of buildings in Estapona but scattered all around the town.
People from Marbella are moving away from there (over touristy) to Estapona as it is still a bit more Spanish - and, at the mo, unspoilt.
