点评：Have you ever taken a notion to drive to a local establishment for something quick that you would expect to be worth the trip ?
Well today I just wanted a good coffee and some simple home baking, a nice scone, something I would have expected to be satisfying.
I’m not normally one to moan especially when the value of the items is relatively low but I’m so disappointed I just have to.
I ordered a latte and a fruit scone , £6.70 which is mid priced for a country setting I’d say but when the scone is bone dry and pretty tasteless and the coffee is weak and lukewarm , it feels overpriced.
I have an issue with any food items left exposed to the elements and in the case of scones etc, of course they are going to dry out if left uncovered, surely it’s not hard to put them in a covered cabinet or under a lid of some kind or am I expecting too much ?
I have a pet hate of weak and lukewarm warm milk based coffee drinks , all in all it just says lack of attention to detail that is borderline poor customer experience.
I’ve been here before and the food has been good so what’s wrong with just getting the simple stuff right ?
Doubt I’ll be back.
