Whitmuir Farm的点评
点评：We hadn’t visited Whitmuir for a while and decided to go for lunch back in October 2024 - times change and there have been a few different owners over the years and of course things may well have moved on again in the time since we visited!
The layout remained largely unchanged with plenty of space between tables in a large open dining area with a log burner providing a cosy gathering spot which would likely be popular in the colder months.
They have a full breakfast menu however the lunch menu was fairly limited to a variety of sandwiches, soups, salads and a few hot meals. To be fair the selection was not your everyday list so would suit someone looking for something a wee bit different. On this occasion my wife chose their Homemade Chicken Schnitzel which came with a tomato and basil sauce with mozzarella and was served on smoked mash (£12.95). I had the Ox Cheeks in a bourguignon sauce with mash (£14.75).
Both dishes were provided in good time and were well received. The chicken was juicy and the dish had good flavours, whilst the ox cheeks were lovely and tender and also very tasty. To accompany the food we had a Diet Coke (£2.95) and a bottle of Broughton Ale Wee Jock (£5.25). The beer went well with the ox cheeks!
To finish we were tempted by a selection of cakes at the counter and my wife had the last slice of Victoria Sponge (£4.50) and I had a Peppermint Slice (£3.75) both of which were okay. The coffee was very good - two Americano at £3.45 each.
Overall the service was very pleasant, the surrounding comfortable and the food good so we were satisfied with lunch for two at just over £51.
The toilets are within the building which also houses the organic farm shop and were, as we have found before, clean but chilly.

最后，柜台上琳琅满目的蛋糕吸引了我们，我妻子吃了最后一块维多利亚海绵蛋糕（4.50英镑），我吃了一块薄荷蛋糕（3.75英镑），两块都还不错。咖啡也很棒——两杯美式咖啡，每杯3.45英镑。
总的来说，服务非常周到，环境舒适，食物也不错，所以我们对这顿两人份的午餐很满意，价格略高于51英镑。
洗手间位于有机农场商店所在的大楼内，和我们之前发现的一样，洗手间很干净，但有点冷。
