Wonderful reef and great dive centre.

点评：The dive centre staff managed to get the right balance between professional (dive safety and looking after us and our equipment) and relaxed and friendly. Briefings were thorough.
We were impressed by the time taken on our first morning to go through all our equipment and log this to ensure that we were always given the right equipment ahead of each dive. On arrival at the dive centre, we'd find our wetsuits neatly folded alongside our bootees and fins. Tanks were set up for us and taken to the boat. The staff also took on responsibility for changing over tanks during our surface interval.
We went to different dive sites each day, including two on the outer reef. It took around 30 minutes to get to the sites we dived in Chole Bay and around 1 hour to get to those on the other reef. The boats used are traditional wooden Dhows. On the return from our trip to the outer reef, we came back under sail and were joined by a couple of dolphins as we approached the shore.
When our dive guide (who was excellent) found something he wanted to show us he would wait patiently until he was sure that we’d all seen it. There was no tank banging or use of rattles to get your attention, unlike in quite a few places we’ve dived.
It was great to see so many large groupers and napoleon wrasse as well as good numbers of rays (especially on our first dive in the outer reef) and nudibranchs. We ended the trip with a shallow shore dive, which proved challenging due the strong current and poor visibility. Despite the conditions, our guide found three small seahorses for us as well as a pygmy cuttlefish.
