点评：What can I say? Another wonderful Afternoon Tea train experience on the equally wonderful Wensleydale Railway.
We have visited a few times on both this and the Fish and Chip Train and just love both experiences. Nothing better than to enjoy a simply delicious spread, which was put on by the fabulous Green Apple Tree Restaurant in Northallerton who are caterers for the Railway's teas. A gorgeous varied selection of sandwiches, enjoyed with an introductory glass of Prosecco, an unlimited amount of tea and coffee for the journey to Leyburn. On the return journey back to Leeming Bar, a beautiful moreish selection of homemade scones, cream and raspberry jam, a piece of orange, carrot and cinnamon cake and chocolate brownie.
Finished with an extra treat of little chocolates for each of us - all served by Mo and her amazing team of volunteers, professional, friendly and smartly dressed.
It is a beautiful, relaxing way of spending an afternoon, in comfortable surroundings on a delightful heritage carriage, pulled by one of the Railway's superb diesel trains and of course, weaving through the beautiful Herriot countryside.
Anyone who has not experienced this, then you must! One of these gourmet trains make a great and different present. Vouchers can be bought online on the WR's website and dates for 2026 will be available soon.
Advice: book early as they fill up VERY quickly.
