点评:This museum is very interesting learning about the Dutch sailing history and maritime trade.
A highlight was to actually go aboard the reconstructed VOC ship Batavia. This replica is fascinating to see firsthand what it might have been like back in 1628 when Batavia was launched and was key in the VOCs East India trade.
The ship is alongside in dock, so you can't go out for a sail. We took the guided tour which was really interesting as the guide was very knowledgeable, but you can do the tour yourself and still have a great experience.
There are lots of ladders, tight spaces, and stairs, so if you have mobility limitations, you might want to sit this one out or take it easy and slowly.
There is so much to see inside the museum as well as outside, so plan your day to be there for about 3-4 hours. The cost is about 15 Eruos (for an adult), so about 3O Australian dollars.
It's definitely worth a visit, especially if you have kids of any age.
