点评：I wasn't sure what to expect as I couldn't download a map in advance. I knew about the colliery buildings and they were interesting to wander round. We didn't take a tour, but ones are sometimes available.
We then wandered off to have a walk and try and find some of the sculptures mentioned and also the nature reserve. Whilst the trails are colour coded, you don't really know where you are. Although you can't get lost, you can't find what you're looking for either. Maps are definitely needed at major junctions - we never found the nature reserve for that reason.
We also only found one sculpture which was amazing, made from scrap metal, but there was nothing about the artist. Where are the other sculptures? In the end we seemed to stick the main path and then a road that led us back to the car park.
For families it is excellent as there is a play area and tracks for bikes, a cafe and toilets and even for a day the parking is only £3 - pay on exit.
