点评:We so wanted to like this museum, but probably expected too much from a small, local museum. After all, the Louvre it is not.
There were many display cases filled with small objects. To read about the enormous quantity of tiny artifacts would take forever, there are so many and tons of them look alike to the untrained eye.
There were not enough written descriptions of what the items are. If they had tour guides or docents to help visitors understand, it would be a much better museum. In some places, tall figures replicated prehistoric people and animals. To us, these looked cheap and somewhat juvenile. There were some interesting displays, but you have to wander around and read a lot to know what they are. At the end, there is an enclosed outside space in which someone constructed a model of a prehistoric shelter using sticks and animal pelts. Although it would certainly interest children, it appeared to us as a middle or high school History Fair project by a student. But, again, the Louvre this is not.
Bottom line: if you can get a guide to walk you through the museum, you will likely have a better experience than we did. If you have tons of time with nothing better to do, or the weather makes outdoor activities impossible, you will like it more than we did.
