点评:I visited Chateau d’Amboise on October 19, 2025. I didn’t enjoy this one as much as I did the previous ones, yet I still have to say that it was absolutely stunning. It was also completed in neutral colors with notes of orange. To me, it associated a lot with the medieval-early renaissance aesthetic. Me and my family went through it pretty quickly because we were already tired as it was the second chateau we visited that day. It was very beautiful on the inside too. We were lucky to be there while there was a tour guide speaking in English, so we got to listen to her a little bit.
While we were very impressed with the construction and the visual of the chateau itself, the surrounding territory was what was truly jaw dropping. There was a big territory with a gorgeous view at the town it’s located in, but the most interesting part was the chapel. It turns out that Leonardo da Vinci is buried there - something that surprised me to my core.
Getting to actually visit the place where a legend like Leonardo da Vinci is buried is
something I never even thought about as something that were to happen to me.
At the end of the visit, we had to walk down a spiral pathway which turned out to be a descent for horse riders. That was also a first. I’m pretty sure that we never went the intended way throughout the whole visit and eventually got kind of lost, but that’s alright.
