点评：The Park
Our visit didn't get off to the best start, as the reception staff weren't particularly friendly and just wanted to rush you through a poor introduction and send you away.
However, after that initial experience, every other member of staff we encountered were very helpful and genuinely hospitable throughout our stay. (maintenance and breakfast staff especially)
The park itself is fantastic, with a great variety of animals and a beautiful atmosphere for children. It's clean, well designed and an enjoyable place to spend the day.
Negatives:
The park allows visitors to attend public shows and walk around the park without wearing a shirt. In a family environment, this feels inappropriate and detracts from the overall experience.
The food options are very poor and overall everything from accommodation, food, drink, sunbeds... are all extremely over priced.
The pool areas were great, again lacking some service such as nice place to eat or drink but generally good and spacious.
The Food
Ombiasy Ristorante was a mixed experience. The staff were not particularly accommodating and weren't willing to make any changes to the menu, which gave the impression that many of the dishes were pre-prepared. That said, some of the food experienced in our group was genuinely very tasty.
Savana Terrace was a highlight. The service was excellent, especially at breakfast, where the staff were warm and welcoming. The setting is beautiful, allowing you to enjoy breakfast or lunch surrounded by giraffes on one side and lions on the other.
Unfortunately, the terrace was unexpectedly closed for lunch on Monday with no prior notice or explanation, which was disappointing and also a strange choice, particularly during the busy summer period.
With the terrace closed, the only remaining options were the street food outlets/kiosks. We tried Mr Jiang Asian Food, but they had practically nothing available! We were told that all fish/prawn dishes were unavailable due to a technical issue and there were very few alternatives. Also the bins in the vicinity were swarming with beers around trash bins, so it was not an appealing place to eat. This was another disappointing and inconsistent aspect of the experience.
We eventually ate at Zula Food, which also closes during the afternoon for reasons that weren't clear. We managed to order just before closing. The food was nothing special, and we felt it was overpriced for the quality.
Overall, Zoom Torino is a beautiful park with excellent animal enclosures, great pool areas and many friendly staff members. However, the organization of the food outlets and some aspects of customer service could be much more consistent, especially during the peak summer season and you often did not feel you were getting value for money. The downfalls and inconsistencies unfortunately lowered my review.
