Unforgettable Experience – Even for a Nervous New Yorker!

点评：I’m a New Yorker with zero kayaking experience, can’t swim, have a fear of the ocean, hate cold water, and am claustrophobic… so you might say this wasn’t exactly in my comfort zone! But I was on a mother-daughter trip, and this was something my daughter really wanted to do—so I couldn’t say no.
Thankfully, we found Benagil Kayaks through our hotel, and I texted the owner, Eduardo, the night before to share all my fears. He couldn’t have been kinder or more reassuring, and told me they would take great care of me. And he was absolutely right.
When we arrived the next day, Eduardo was warm, welcoming, and gave detailed safety instructions to the group that really helped ease my nerves. Our guide Diogo was incredible—so patient and supportive, especially when the waves picked up and the caves got crowded with boats. He stayed close, guided me calmly through it all, and made sure I felt safe the entire time.
In the end, my daughter and I had a blast. It was a highlight of our trip, and I’m so glad I pushed myself to do it. If you're nervous but curious, trust me—Benagil Kayaks is the team to go with. Thank you Eduardo and Diogo!
