Great Venue, Terrible Sound: My Ears Are Still Ringing

点评：I attended a concert at the Paramount Theater, (Yacht Rock Review, Jan 10, 2025) and while the venue itself has great potential, the sound system completely ruined the experience. The distortion was absolutely unbearable—so severe that I couldn’t hear the singer clearly, let alone recognize what song was being performed at times. On top of that, the volume was painfully high, leaving my ears ringing even hours after the show.
This wasn’t just a case of "loud live music"; this was outright mismanagement of the sound system. Whether it was due to outdated equipment, poor acoustics, or an inexperienced sound engineer, the result was an unbalanced, distorted, and overwhelming mix that made the performance unpleasant to endure. I've attended concerts at other indoor venues, including Madison Square Garden, and never experienced sound issues like this.
Considering the price of tickets, I expected far better. The Paramount needs to seriously reevaluate their sound system and bring in skilled sound engineers to handle live performances. As it stands, the sound quality is not just disappointing—it’s unacceptable for a venue of this caliber. I truly hope they address this issue because, as it is now, it’s hard to justify a return visit.
