This is hermit island campground not just hermit island.

点评：Let me start out with this is a hidden gem and even through I hope no one comes here, you will.
There are a LOT of rules from how you can make a reservation to when you can make a reservation.
You cannot come here in a camper or a rv, so verify what you can bring here unless it is a tent.
One car per site - strictly enforced.
The sites closest to the beach have horse flies while the ones away from the beach have mosquitoes.
There is no water, electric or sewer at any of the sites.
Watering spigot are scattered around.
All the bathrooms with showers are very primitive and there are only two.
And there are a few outhouse (nasty) scattered around.
They have a few cabins (bare bones).
In season they have a few things at the store and a snack bar.
Nothing for services are right near this place.
So why would you stay here?
Beautiful Maine coastline and beaches.
My wife loves this place and she has been coming here for years.
