Great tour an thanks to our guide Yoseddeibid

点评：This place Finca De Rafa owns some properties around La Leona waterfall
and they also organize the tours.
We picked our great guide Yoseddeibid (I hope I spelled this correctly)
on the road while driving through Curubande, and drove to the parking of
the waterfall. We had no problem going through the private property on the way
to the parking as he knew everyone and he checked out the life vests, got us
to sign at the reception and pay for the tour ($30 per person),
waited patiently for us to change and use bug spray.
The walk is very interesting and diverse, with many river crossings and ups and
downs the rocks and around the big boulders. Yoseddeibid told us the names of the
trees and plants, the story of native people and Curubande princess. He took us to see
some farm animals, and crops, and we went around bigger tours (like 30-50 people groups)
as he knew all the shortcuts. I think having a guide for 8 people or less is a way
to go, as oppose a big group - if one does not require transportation.
We were also free to take a swim in some sections that he recommended (it was a hot day)
and I loved that aspect of not being rushed.
Eventually at the waterfall there was a long wait line - it was midday.
However once in the water and roping our way to the fall, he was there pulling us from
the water and giving instructions for the last step that is a bit tricky.
We loved our tour, and had great time not to mention it is very reasonably priced for
a 3h+ of magical walk and so much beauty that we have seen.
Kudos to Yoseddeibid and Finca De Rafa.
