Bluegrass Climbing School的点评
点评：We climb indoors a lot but this was our first time outdoor climbing, and we wanted a guide to teach us about anchoring (so we can top rope our kids) and cleaning. We were afraid we’d get a basic/commercial experience that didn’t account for our existing experience, so we did a fair bit of research first for the right guides. Multiple folks on Reddit recommended bluegrass, and we emailed in advance explaining our situation (already lead certified, already have gear, just learning about outdoor climbing.) They were super responsive and helpful.
I accidentally booked the wrong day, and they reached out the morning of the wrong day, and I panicked thinking we’d have a cancellation or rescheduling fee, but they were fantastic. Easy-peasy, rescheduled us.
The day of was great. Our guide, Henry, was exactly what we were hoping for. He gave us lots of good info and helped us find good routes in Muir Valley for our level.
We only did a half day (as long as our kids attention spans could go) and I’m glad we did- my teen that doesn’t climb much got pretty physically exhausted by the end of our 4 hours.
We definitely recommend Bluegrass!
