点评:Friday 11th August and we strolled along the pathway through the Axe Harbour, along the Haven Cliffs to the mouth of the River Axe, where this beach is located.
It is a stoney beach that is washed by the water's of the English Channel. It lies, in Lyme Bay, between the the River and the Haven Cliffs Naturist Beach, other beaches stretch along the coast.
From the Beach, in one direction, there are views up the River Axe, and across the Bay to Seaton Beach and Beer Head. In the other there are stunning views of the red stone cliffs running along the Jurassic Coast in the direction of Lyme Regis.
There are no facilities on this Beach, so does not attract as many visitors as other beaches nearby.
While walking to the Beach we visited The Prow, a look out point with panoramic views around the area and the Bay.
It is possible to walk from here to Lyme Regis, it is roughly seven miles and a bit arduous but doable.
