Excellent air displays overall, parking chaos, overpriced food/ retail outlets, pay more next year! NO thanks

点评：I was eagerly looking forward to RIAT 2025 as I'd not been before. A work colleague goes every year and raved about it although she said the line-up this time was not as good as previous years.
I went with my 14 year old son for a nice day out. I shoould have booked the Early Bird ticket at £45 (I think) but I left it too late so had to pay the £79.50 fee. I figured that acceptable for two people.
I drove to the event and all went smoothly until around a mile from the venue then everythgin just stopped. The final mile took over an hour. For an even that takes place every year this is simply not good enough. Parking was at least free on the day.
The events are always affected by the weather and true to British weather heavy rain was forecast and the display was affected, however not too drastically.
The C5 galaxy was a real highlight being able to 'walk through' the enire aircraft hold from nose-up end to the tail. Awesome.
Sadly some other highlights did not fly but we still enjoyed the F16, Typhoon and Gripen that are always impressive.
Overall I loved the day excluding the queues to park,
However, food is ridiculously overpriced. Expect to pay about £16 for a burger, £5 for chips, you get the gist. There are many eateries all similarly priced.
The are also many commercial/retail outlets selling souvenir items.
Everything is overpriced and for the day out I spent about £80, that's excluding the tickets.
Parking was free in 2025 but for the 2026 event it's £15.

There can be no justification for these price increases and sadly I won't be going again.
