A warm and educational insight into a small finca (farm), including incredible coffee! ☕️

点评：A wonderful day out in a beautiful area of Colombia!
My family and I chose to do the private coffee tour (Tour de Café Privado), with no cycling required.
We had a very warm welcome from the tour guides, as well as the finca owner, who accompanied us. We started out with a very informative introduction into coffee, its characteristics, cultivation, differences in varieties, as well as getting to taste several different delicious brews. We then went for a walk around the farm, which included looking at how various types of exotic fruit are grown, such as cacao, maracuya, plaintain and more. We also got taught how coffee beans are selected and harvested, and got to try it out ourselves. The tour also covered in depth the processing of the coffee and drying, which was very interesting.
As a coffee lover myself, I really enjoyed learning how coffee is grown and processed, giving me a much better appreciation for the care that goes into producing single origin coffee at the artisanal / finca scale.
The tour guides as well as the owners were extremely kind and welcoming, and did a great job of answering all of our questions. With the finca owners there, it felt like more of a visit to a family farm. The food and coffee provided throughout was absolutely delicious, home grown at the farm, and made with love.
If you love coffee, and are visiting Valle Del Cauca, I would say that this tour is a MUST!
