Bingen-Rudesheimer Boat Connection的点评
点评：The cruise between Rudesheim and St Goar was perfect to explore the middle Rhine with all its riverfront towns, hilly countryside and many castles and heritage buildings. The ferry was very comfortable over 3 levels with plenty of viewing and photo options, and the trip length just right.
However it was most disappointing on the downstream journey that the very interesting commentary over the speakers was drowned out by very loud tourists at other tables, so we could not get a decent appreciation of the history or significance of various sights along the Rhine. Although we asked the ferry staff if they could ask the other parties to stay quiet or move to the next deck they refused to do anything about it as it may be rude and may annoy them.
On the upstream return journey there was no commentary to start with, and we had to ask for the commentary to be turned on. This they did, but it was very sporadic and short, with plenty of sights missed, and off completely in the last part of the return journey.
The middle Rhine cruise provided an excellent opportunity to see the sights of the Rhine and it's historical features, but I would not recommend it if you are expecting a reliable or audible commentary, or accommodating staff.
