点评:We grew up fishing on the Canadian prairies and all grew up using Len Thompson fishing lures (especially the five of diamonds) at one point or another. The Len Thomson Company started in Saskatchewan in 1929 and moved to Lacombe, Alberta in 1958 and has been making fishing lures in the community of Lacombe ever since. If you're into fishing, Canadiana or just seeing big roadside attractions on the prairies this is worth a stop.
The fishing lure is to scale and is just over 40 feet long. There is a free to use trout fishing pond nearby which is stocked with rainbow trout and meant to give an accessible opportunity to people to learn to fish. Catch and release is encouraged.
There is a nice park area nearby as well as some restaurants and shops so we felt this was a nice stop to stretch our legs as we were driving to Edmonton. The lure is located on the east side of Lacombe just off highway 2A. This highway meets up with highway 2 that goes between Edmonton and Calgary and makes for a short detour if you have the interest.
