点评：We happened to be in Venice when it would be the Regatta Storica and as my wife has some mobility restrictions we thought we would find a venue near to our apartment to see the event. We had previously visited the Fondazione dell'Albero d'Oro Palazzo Vendramin Grimani to attend a talk by Ian Brennan about the Malawi Mouse Boys and found it very pleasant but we had not had an opportunity on that occasion to look round the building so decided to make a reservation to see if there was any way we could see any of the Regatta from there or nearby. Booking was simple and the fee was a special Sunday price of only €5. Incredible price and also a superb venue to visit with many, many rooms to see. We discovered one room on the ground floor had a clear view of the Grand Canal so we stayed to watch some of the Historical regatta. The staff at the Fondazione dell'Albero d'Oro Palazzo Vendramin Grimani were delightful, charming and helpful. As we watched some of the races, the attendent noted that my wife was dependent on resting on her walking aid and brought a pouffe out of the nearby room for her. We thoroughly enjoyed looking around the various levels of the Fondazione dell'Albero d'Oro Palazzo Vendramin Grimani and particularly the films of Venice in the early part of the 20th Century. A superb afternoon in Venice. Deserves many more visitors.
