点评:I'm a lover of zoos and Parc Zoologique de Paris is one of the best I've been too. Now, I know zoos have their critics but every animal I saw here looked extremely well cared for and the enclosures were well designed and maintained. Zoos do a lot of good for the wildlife of our planet.
I think what I enjoyed most about this Paris zoo was the layout. Many zoos are tricky to navigate and remember exactly where you've been, but this one has a long path that traverses the whole zoo. You can follow that path and see everything.
My highlights were the seals and penguins, the baboons, the little meerkat and African fox enclosure and the excellent tropical house with its incredible manatees. I must also mention the giant great man made rock in the middle of the zoo. I read it was created in 1934 and has a lift in it, but I don't believe it is accessible by the public any more. What the rock is is a constant point of interest anywhere in the zoo.
I had had a few hours before my train on my last day in Paris and I'm so glad I used those hours to visit this zoo. It was good value for money too.
I must say, really friendly staff too. A young man near the entrance welcomed me in and told me about feeding hours. Tat may be different if it's busy in summer, I guess.
