Subpar Resort
Crystal Springs Golf Club的点评
点评：This property has so much potential based on the scenic setting. We felt the resort is suffering from a bit of an identity crisis and it is hard to tell what of type of client they are trying to appeal to. There were families (with plenty of screaming kids), couples, golfers and friend groups which result in conflicting needs. Our main disappointment was the indoor pool. It was too small and packed with kids. It felt claustrophobic, noisy and dated.
The room was clean and spacious but also dated. The bathroom was large but a toilet closet is recommended, for privacy reasons. The mattress in the pullout couch was not comfortable. The balcony was very nice.
The food was very good and the wait staff was great. The wine selection was extremely limited. The bar staff was very helpful and friendly but unfortunately, the bar itself was tiny and didn't have a view or any ambiance.
We didn't go to the spa but took a tour and noticed it was small and decorated in red, which is too harsh when trying to relax. There is no pool or relaxation area so I would never bother going just for a treatment.
The overall decor has a lodge like feel but again, is somewhat dated and could use a refresh and an expansion of the spa, indoor pool, the bar. The views are amazing but are under maximized.
It would be nice if they created adult only sections of the resort such as a separate pool, restaurant and bar.
Lastly, having to pay for hotel entertainment is absurd. The activities were posted without mention of the cost.
I hope this property is acquired someday by a high end hospitality group who can really maximize the potential of this beautifully situated resort.
