点评:The first thing we did when we arrived in Belfast during a cruise stop was to go to this museum. A 10 minute ride on a city bus and we were there. There was no queue. The museum is absolutely extraordinary, very touching, made at the highest level and with great love as well as great sorrow. It is impossible to calmly enter this museum, especially for those people who are well acquainted with this tragedy from numerous materials, documents, videos and films. at the ticket office, we bought a ticket that did not require entry at a certain time.
The museum is dedicated to the history of the ship's construction in the Belfast shipyards. It was from here that it set sail for the English port where its virgin tragic final journey began.
I liked the whole exhibition, but especially the original-sized cabins of all classes, the latest technological innovations of that time, such as running water and a toilet in the 1st class cabin, a telephone. An interactive wall with precise data on the men and women who died, children, as well as collected data on who went on the voyage, 13 newlywed couples of whom 9 young husbands died.
