点评：A Resort with Potential, Let Down by Poor Maintenance and Early Closures
We recently visited Lauro Golf for a short break and, unfortunately, left feeling underwhelmed. While the setting has potential and the staff were truly excellent—friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile—the overall experience was let down by the condition of the facilities and course.
The golf course itself felt tired and in need of serious maintenance. Of the 27 holes, only 18 were open again this year, and many of the fairways were poorly maintained. Greens were patchy and marked, and the overall layout lacked the polish you'd expect from a resort of this reputation - and given 9 of this hold last year were supposed to have been updated.
One of the biggest frustrations was the early closure of the bar and food area—shutting at 7pm, meaning last food was 6.30pm, If you're playing unlimited golf, this makes it a real rush to finish and get any food or drink before everything closes. It left the evenings feeling flat and inconvenient, especially with no on-site shop or alternative options without a 15 minute taxi ride!
The accommodation was serviceable, and the location is undeniably beautiful, but the resort feels like it's coasting on its setting rather than delivering a quality experience. With some investment and attention to detail, Lauro Golf could be a fantastic destination. But as it stands, it’s a tired resort that doesn’t live up to expectations.
Redeeming feature? The staff. They were the highlight of the trip.
But sadly, great service alone can’t make up for a subpar golf experience.
