点评：Tickets for the cable car can be pre-paid online, and you will receive a QR code. The biggest miscommunication is that the QR code is NOT accepted. There are two separate lines at the cable car station: one for pre-paid tickets and one for regular admittance. The QR code MUST be exchanged for a paper ticket, so make sure you are in the correct line. Otherwise, you will be waiting for hours! This is not advertised in visible areas, and we only realized it because another person told us.
There are also minivan tours that cost just one more euro (€50) as of our visit in April 2025. This is a good alternative, especially for those looking for a more relaxing way to explore the nature reserve without physical strain.
Overall, the Rock of Gibraltar is a beautiful nature reserve. We took the cable car up the rock and hiked down. The hike was doable but slightly tough and definitely tiring. The views were stunning, and the weather was perfect in April! There are also trails and a steep staircase for more experienced hikers if you’re looking for a challenge!
