点评:Not my favorite Lake Erie Beach. The park right before it is lovely, with a great playground, a better than average concession stand (the caprese sandwich and buddy cone with blackberry ice cream and dark chocolate dip were delicious!), a nice bathroom/changing area and many places to host a picnic or just sit and enjoy the lake view. But it's about seven flights of stairs down to the actual beach (though it looked like there was a wheelchair accessible entrance towards the east end). The beach itself was narrower than I was expecting and VERY crowded on a hot Friday afternoon. There are a number of lifeguards who enforce a 10 minute break every hour; you're not even allowed to walk along the water's edge during those 10 minutes. Speaking of the water's edge...there was something--silt? Algae?--that darkened the water and clung to my ankles as I walked. While I was there, somebody supposedly heard a single rumble of thunder (I didn't hear anything) and the lifeguards immediately cleared both the water and the beach and made everyone wait up top for over 30 minutes before letting people back down. Lugging a beach chair and beach bag full of necessities down the steps was bad enough but back up the stairs was a real workout.
