点评:Absolutely wonderful trip, the highlight of our Australia tour!
We had planned our Oz trip dates and schedule around an opportunity to visit The Kangaroo Sanctuary.
Chris (Brolga) is such a lovely man, so dedicated and kind to his ‘orphans’.
We met little Minga, Sally and Daisy, they are soooo adorable.
We were so privileged to be able to carry Daisy in her little pillowcase pouch.
Chris educated us on how the joeys are rescued and how he rears the joeys with an aim to release them back into the wild,
We met several of his ‘permanent’ residents, who will stay on the sanctuary and cannot be released for various reasons. It was clear Chris adores them as much as they do him. In particular ‘Freddie’ stole our hearts as he followed Chris around on our tour and at the end just wanted to be picked up, like a human toddler!
We also saw the film ‘Kangaroo’ prior to our visit, which we enjoyed enormously and we’re 64 & 69!
Please be aware the opening days are limited to 3 days a week in the cooler months because of Chris’s genuine concern for his animals and desire not to stress them.
