Whilst I don't have an issue with the seats at the theatre, there are wheelchair spaces on all levels, often someone is sat behind claiming they asked for extra leg room and they need to keep their leg straight, which is never going to happen if you are behind a wheelchair.
The parking is another big issue. Whilst there are a number of Blue Badge Spaces, registration numbers are taken and registering does not guarantee a space, it is first come first served. Whilst there are a handful of Blue Badge spaces they take endless numbers. This means disabled patrons have to arrive earlier and earlier to get a space, plus whilst the time limit on them was unlimited, it is now 4 hours, which means you can't have a meal and see the show, as you would be too long. You have to time it just right to not get a parking ticket. As for the button you have to press to speak to someone to get into the parking, I don't think anyone has tried to press that button from a vehicle, as it is impossible and if there is not an able bodied person to get out of the car and walk round you can't get in the car park.
The theatre doesn't have Access Hosts, as mainstream theatre have in other towns and in London but I wish more was provided here, as other than when you arrive early it is very difficult to get served at the bar in a wheelchair.
This is a great theatre that needs more work to be better disabled friendly.
