Very atmospheric house.
Burton Constable Hall & Parkland的点评
点评：I took a group of 20 historians to visit Burton Constable and to see their Christmas display.
We were very disappointed to find that only the ground floor of the house was decorated and accessible. I had allocated more time to be spent in the house and this meant that we had to kill time before we had tea. The weather was poor so we couldn't go outside.
This said the ground floor was lovely and the staff exceptionally pleasant and helpful.
I was feeling unwell and a very kind member of staff ( Dave?) obtained me a glass of water and was extremely attentive . I was extremely grateful to him.
I love the atmosphere at Burton Constable and fortunately my group appreciated it too. It is a loved house and the staff cannot be praised enough for their dedication.
My group had tea in the cafe and it was superb! The only criticism was that the sandwiches were rather like doorstops ....much better to have been smaller . The cakes were lovely and the staff are to be commended for their cheerful and efficient service.
We all took home doggy bags because the tea was so substantial.
I can thoroughly recommend a visit to this beautiful house.
