Rocky Mountain National Park的点评
点评：This National Park is absolutely amazing! We entered early and drove in from Grand Lake Entrance. It seemed as though this entrance was less busy which made the traffic flow easier. We stopped at all of the overlooks and had amazing views. There were so many elk - makes in one area and females in another playing in the snow fields and walking across the tundra area. You could see them with binoculars or with the naked eye if your vision was very good. We stopped and hiked Lake Irene - about .5 mile loop around a very still calm lake with an amazing reflection because it was so calm. When we arrived at the alpine visitor center we had no problem parking because it was earlier than their open hours and because we came the less popular direction and beat the traffic. We hiked the Alpine Ridge Trail - I counted about 250 steps. It is a straight up hike but the views at the top are amazing! When we came back down the line of cars waiting to park was crazy long. We continued the drive hitting the overlooks and stopped for the Tundra Community Hike Trail too. Another uphill hike that had great views. We had a time release reservation for Bear Lake Road for 12 and by then the parking was full so we shuttled to the lake. We hiked Bear Lake and saw a moose just lounging near the trail. Then we hiked Nymph Lake - both were beautiful hikes. After completing these hikes we hopped back in the shuttle then stopped at the Beaver Meadow Visitor Center - designed by Frank Lloyd Wright (so cool), then drove to Lily Lake and hiked that loop under Lily Mountain around the lake. We had a busy full but great day hitting the hot spots. Lots of wild life and of course views!
