I got up at 530am, so as to be there by 6am, for the very special sunrise scenes.
As the name suggests, there are three (3) whale shaped rocks, large, medium and small.
I walked along the large rock, but choose to settle on the medium sized whale, in the middle of the formation, to catch the sun rising over the province.
It was a surprisingly chilly Saturday morning the day I chose to check it out, but my spirts were warmed by the friendliness of my guides, as well as the welcomeness of my fellow 'on the rock' tourists.
Also had a chance to check out other look-outs, including the curious Elephant Stone.
It was another awesome day in Amazing Thailand, that I will long remember and fair to say, that visitors to to Bueng Kan, really must try go and see the 3 Whales ..
