Amazing Architectural Wonder meets Office & Event Space!

点评：(1/25/2025) Had it not been for an outstanding Apple TV show featuring the Bell Works building as “Lumon Industries”, I certainly would not have known about — nor gone out of my way to visit — a mid-century corporate office building. But thank you, “Severance”, for enlightening me to this fantastic Eero Saarinen gem!
An ominous glass and concrete exterior surrounded by enormous parking lots conceals a stunning, light-filled interior. On the Saturday evening I visited, there were many activities throughout the massive atrium: pick-up basketball, birthday parties, DJ’ed dance gatherings and many people simply wandering around sipping coffees, enjoying yogurt or dinner, lounging throughout.
Only the lower level is open to the general public (upper floors are corporate office space), but there’s a nice mix of restaurants (some open daily including weekends, others only during the weekday breakfast/lunch hours), boutique shopping, family & event spaces (an Escape Room, for example). I was drawn to an interesting gallery exhibit featuring Dan Kiley (a renowned 20th century landscape architect), a grand piano played (quite well!) by several visitors, and a delicious pizza from Corbo & Sons.
All told, I spent about an hour meandering, gawking, taking photos and being very impressed with both the building and the terrific adaptive reuse of such an architectural work of art. Absolutely would return!
PS - no Macrodata Refinement, Optics & Design or Mammalians Nurturable departments to be found (the basement was closed for a private event actually…). For now, the work shall remain “mysterious and important”! 😁🤓
