Beautiful Gothic Architecture
Strawberry Hill House & Garden的点评
点评：I went with a family member on a whim when we had a few hours to kill in Richmond and it was nearby. It was incredibly easy to find and has a lovely spacious car park. The reception is very close and features a great little shop. We visited the cafe which is in a small long room with a few tables outside too. It has a great menu but not many staff members at all which meant our food came out a bit staggered.
The house is beautiful and the guides are very knowledgeable and genuinely interested in the house’s history. It would have been helpful to have a few more information boards around the house and perhaps furniture and as we weren’t really sure which rooms we were in.
The house is very well maintained and has a really interesting history. The gardens have a vegetable patch but is very small or maybe it is simply in proportion to the house - they are also well maintained. All in all it was an interesting day out and I would recommend it as a quick trip mainly for the amazing architecture.
