Not worth it, not worth the pricetag
Strawberry Hill House & Garden的点评
点评:I was totally underwhelmed. Ok, I know the historical significance of the place but still, this was awful. From the outside the place looks like a big white Meringue. The outside walls are covered in roughcast rendering painted white that makes it look cheap.
Inside, everything is / looks fake. It just feels like a cheap cartoonish imitation. And yes it was even 8n the 18th century when it was built. The stained glasses are ...well...stained.
The ceilings are papier mâché, the doors are as thin as carton boards...you get the idea..
TlAlso, there are only a few volunteers around to tell you about the history of the building. And some of the comments I could have done without..
The only highlight of the place are the café and garden
But this definitely NOT warrant a £16.00 Entry Charge. Complete waste of money.
I should have gone to Kew gardens instead.
