点评：We had a great day with the WILD Trails Safari Team. In the morning, we had some great sightings of birds in Block 6, along with elephants and crocodiles. After that, we took a break and were served an amazing lunch—some of the best food we had during our 8-day trip. We then went looking for leopards and were lucky enough to spot one. Throughout the day, we were given plenty of information about the animals and the national park, which made the experience even better. Our guide, Shehan, made the day truly special with his knowledge, passion, and friendly approach.
This was by far the most knowledgeable safari we've experienced during our 8-day safari and birding trip in Sri Lanka. It was clear that our guide had a deep understanding of the wildlife and habitat, and he communicated this with clarity and passion. His ability to engage in meaningful conversations about wildlife added immense value to our experience.
The day was perfectly balanced between adventure and relaxation. Our guide had an excellent sense of when to pause and when to push forward. His commitment to finding a leopard was incredible—and it paid off. We had a breathtaking 40-minute private encounter with one, a moment we'll never forget. We understand how rare such sightings are, and the most impressive thing is that even if we hadn't seen the leopard, we would still have rated this as a 5-star experience.
