Another great week sailing in the Saronic Gulf with friends and family.

点评：Great family run yacht charter/ flotilla company in a good location. Smaller scale company than the big corporates and more support than just a simple yacht charter. We prefer a flotilla over simple charter to meet other like minded folk. This year was no exception with the great lead boat team and other lovely people on the other four boats. There were five of us and we chose a Sun Odyssey 439 from their fleet 2012 model yet in really good order. She was in really good condition and had a new set of sails for the season. Sometimes in the end of the season, boats are tired but ours was in great condition probably because they are owned by the family company with a personal interest in them!
Some years ago we changed from the Ionian as it was getting silly busy and were recommended Greek Sails by a fellow sailor. The sailing area is much larger and quieter than the Ionian with better winds and a much larger range of places to visit or bays to anchor for lunch a swim or overnight stay. Poros is a lovely starting or finishing point with easy fast access from Piraeus via fast Cat.
We’ve had really good personal service from their small team who are very friendly engaging and flexible. This year we sailed around 140 Nmiles with some legs between 24 & 28 miles. Our lead crew are helpful, but don’t try to shepherd us, leaving us to our own plans should we desire but offering helpful tips and nice places to visit or stop for a swim. Our last evening in a bay between Hydra and Spetsai we all rafted up for a beach based meal together. It was brilliant and the best we’ve ever had in our 23 year sailing in Greece. We have been regular visitors to Greece for a number of decades (5 to be exact) so know what is genuine and what is not. Greek Sails represents a genuine Greek company providing a great service in their own personal style which we love. Thank you Richard, Isis and your team.
