Spending the Morning at Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center

点评：Good trip. We arrived at approximately 9:30 am and made our way towards the entrance of the museum. Admission into the museum was free, which is always a plus. There were multiple informational plaques scattered throughout the museum that provided some background information on the Wright brothers and the process behind building the first airplane. There were also several artifacts out for display, along with several short video clips that had to do with the invention of the first flying machine. After we were done exploring the main exhibit we made our way to the theatre room where we watched an excellent 30 minute film titled The Wright Brothers: On Great White Wings. The film went into detail about the brothers early life and the trials and tribulations they faced when building the first airplane. After watching the film we made the roughly 15 minute drive to the actual flying field the brothers practiced on. After a short walk, we were able to view a replica of the hanger they stored their airplane and equipment in. There were also more informational plaques scattered alongside the walking path that detailed the early struggles the brothers faced when building the first flying machine.
