点评：What a fantastic place this is, run by Virgil, a real enthusiast, so knowledgeable on everything to do with the oil industry in the Gulf.
As nobody else turned up, we had a 2 hour private tour of what was the very first movable rig in the Gulf and apparently the only place in the whole wide world where we could walk on an offshore rig.
It’s not spruced up at all and you gain a real insight into what it’s like to work on a rig, even down to the cooking!
Saw an alligator sunning itself on the bank as we climbed the ladder up to the rig.
Virgil took us round he whole rig, going into such detail that was beyond our ken but we loved it all.
If you’ve had enough of Plantations and Antebellum Houses in the Greek Revival Style, this is the tour for you.
