Tips for Kayak Rental at Nickerson

点评：Based on reviews I read, our family went to rent kayaks at cliff pond at Nickerson state park. It was such a pain. We hiked around the park for awhile trying to find the kayak rental, the signage is not good. Finally we found it at cliff pond only to learn its self service (no one there to help you) and rental is just for the full day. So we had to drive more and hike around more to find the kayak rental at Flax Pond.
Once we got there, the person was very helpful and we had a lovely time kayaking but we had half as much time as planned since we spent so long searching for it. It’s frustrating that when you pay $30 (!) to get into Nickerson state park, there are no maps or clear signs telling you where to go.
If you’re looking to rent a kayak just for a few hours, follow the signs for the flax pond beach. Be prepared to still hike around awhile to find
it but it’s very nice once you get there.
