点评:After enjoying “The Brummie Boys” escape room at Locked Escape Rooms, my friend and I were excited to try a second experience with them—this time, “The Chocolate Factory.” The objective was to get the factory running again by finding all the secret ingredients before time ran out.
Our games master, Mariya, gave a rushed introduction to the safety rules and types of locks, then informed us she wouldn’t be available to assist for the first five minutes as she needed to pray. She mentioned there were three possible starting points and asked if we wanted to know them (we declined). She also explained that we could have for unlimited clues.
The room’s puzzles were non-sequential, making it unclear where to begin. Some didn’t function properly—most notably, a coin-operated sweet dispenser that had to be manually fixed by the games master coming into the room, breaking immersion. Several puzzles lacked logical flow. One involved a panel of switches and a confusing diagram that didn’t seem to help at all. Another required inserting your hands into large gloves to retrieve numbered balls, which was awkward and unpleasant. The gloves felt greasy, and the reversed, rear-facing camera made it very difficult to orient your movements.
Despite these issues, we were given chocolate at the end for completing the room, which was a nice touch.
