Loved Scotsman General Store!
Scotsman General Store的点评
点评：While visiting Laurel; my mom, family friend, and I visited Scotsman General Store from Tennessee.
We love the HGTV television show, Hometown, my grandparents and uncles are buried near Laurel, and mom was raised 30 miles from Laurel (she was raised in Mize, Mississippi), but we had never visited downtown Laurel before.
We were looking forward very much to visiting Scotsman General Store and we were not disappointed!
Quality goods, vintage games, delicious snowballs (Mom had cotton candy, our friend had Georgia Peach, and I had Pina Colada), and a very nice outdoor area with observation deck.
Seeing that sign and downtown Laurel from that observation deck after seeing them on TV many times, and having been unable to return to Mississippi for 9 years, was a dream come true.
I saw a serving tray by brother would have loved (but he passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2025), that I would have gotten him if he was still with us..it made me think of him because it was in the shape of a fish. He would have loved Scotsman General Store as did we.
Next time we’re in Laurel, we’ll definitely be back again!
