点评:I stayed in a hotel/resort about 20 minutes from here. That was the down side. The local transportation is not convenient, unless you are staying on and going to a location that is near their train system. We were not, and it was a dangerous walk on the highway to get to the train. So we took a very expensive taxi ride too and from Cava Freixenet (not their fault, just some additional info to consider, and in fairness, I was told when I made reservations but I thought they were exaggerating. Who builds a hotel that is not convenient to anything... except a golf club? Wyndham, that's who.)
Anyway, the Freixenet was a pleasant experience. The grounds are beautiful, the tour was very informative. We got a wonderful guide, for just the two of us. I learned about a new category of wine, Cava. A competitor to champagne, but better, IMO. I will be looking for it in the states.
The charcuterie we had with our tasting was fresh and special.
This place is not a secret to travelers, we heard languages and accents from all over the world, all around us, as we enjoyed our sips and bites.
I highly recommend it.
