Slow service but nice venue
Cauldron Distillery And Estate的点评
点评：It certainly has potential, however some aspects made the experience less desirable.
Firstly, every single table on the grass is in the sun. The way the sun comes in means half the table is entirely sunny and half in the shade. We noticed a lot of people uncomfortable and getting sweaty and swapping places a lot, we had to do the same.
The tables in the shade are inside which means you have people lining up crammed in next to you or up next to the food truck which means you miss the view.
They really need to fix the umbrellas and seating to provide adequate shade.
I also noticed the wedding was being set up right next to all the tables and everything including the reception was in blaring sun. The wedding also had a backdrop of the road - not overly nice so something to take note of it looking at this venue for a wedding that you’ll be sitting right next to everyone eating and drinking at the restaurant and in the sun.
Secondly - the bartenders were so slow. Probably some of the slowest I’ve ever seen at a venue. This meant lines were so long even though it wasn’t that busy. Everyone was getting frustrated with the fact it took over 5 mins per customer to serve a drink. As an example there were 3 people in front of me and I waited 15 minutes to order a drink. Quite insane really.
Thirdly - the food service was also so slow. We arrived initially when the place was almost empty. There was a 30 minute wait for a basic dip platter and 45 mins wait for a basic kids nugget meal. Then when we ordered our main (a sandwich) it was a 45 minute wait again and it arrived cold…. Not sure why it took so long when the entire sandwich is cold with some mildly toasted bread on the outside. Also no staff seemed to know where any tables were and kept bringing wrong food and drinks to our table and ones around us.
Other than that, the venue is very nice and if they improve their staffing and speed they would be great.
