MUST visit for everyone, including kids!
Butterfly Ridge Conservation Center的点评
点评:I LOVE this place! It's only $6 to visit and one of my favorite nature experiences ever. really blew me away. Go when they're having night Mothing Saturdays, June through August (excluding the first Saturday) from 9 PM to midnight. I always thought moths were boring gray things that eat sweaters and get in your flour. But wow, was I wrong?! We saw literally hundreds of wild looking moths I never knew existed. We all had a blast and would have stayed REALLY late (except we had a party pooper early to bed person with us). The later you stay, the more cool stuff you see! They use high-powered ultraviolet and mercury vapor lights to attract moths to white sheets. Mr. Chris and Mrs. Kris Cline who run and own this place are SO kind and really experts on pollinators and how to make your environment more welcoming to these important creatures. Mr. Chris wrote a bunch of books on the subject and is very generous with the deep knowledge he has! I was with a bunch of wowed grownups, but kids would LOVE this and especially getting to stay up late to see all this coolness.
